Here’s a little secret – if you want to eat healthy consistently on a day to day basis, you have to think small. By that, we mean dig deep into every food you are putting into your grocery cart. Read the nutrition labels, ignore the pretty pictures and promising phrases you see on the front of the package, and much much more. And this you have to do for every product in your grocery list or cart. Sounds painful, right? But it does not have to be. Just get FoodSniffr on your side.

Today I am going to walk you through how to quickly find healthy foods on FoodSniffr. Ready? Let’s begin!

1. Go to the FoodSniffr Healthy Foods section

2. Feast your eyes on the categories of healthy foods

Move your mouse over the Healthy Foods text in the top navigation. See all the different categories we have under Healthy Foods? So if you are looking for Cookies, dive right into that category by clicking on Cookies in the flyout menu that opens (example is below).

3. Healthy foods appear in order of healthfulness – healthy foods first, less healthy foods appear down the list

See all the foods on this first page (screenshot below)? You will notice that all the foods on the first page have high scores of 8 or 9. That is because we want to show you the healthiest foods in our database first. To further reinforce that a particular food is healthy, we have shown the high scores of 7, 8 or 9 in green color. As you move down to the next and the next page, you will see scores in orange and red; the oranges are for the moderately healthy foods with scores of 4, 5 or 6, whereas the red scores of 1,2 and 3 indicate a really unhealthy product. Got it?
